Practical Info
The Met Fifth Avenue is open six days a week; closed on Wednesdays.
Sunday–Thursday: 10 am–5:30 pm
Friday and Saturday: 10 am–9 pm
Large backpacks or bags will need to be checked, so try and leave them at home.
Water bottles may be brought in.
Selfie sticks are not allowed.
Drawing in the galleries are permitted with pencils; no markers.
Strollers: Strollers are permitted in most galleries, with the exception of oversized and jogging strollers.
Dining Options: The Met has an option for all visitors, but most guests visit the in-gallery cafés or the cafeteria. The cafés do not take reservations, however MWM can assist with planning a tour which concludes near a dining area.
Accessibility: MWM is trained to lead wheelchair accessible tours, and all forms of mobility devices are welcome within the galleries. We can assist you in borrowing a free wheelchair at the Museum. Please specify your mobility needs upon booking, as wheelchairs are on a first-come basis.
Tips for Visiting with Children:
-Strollers are allowed in most galleries.
-Children are welcome at all restaurants. The cafeteria has booster seats, high chairs and a kids menu.
-Most restrooms have changing stations.
-Baby bottles and water bottles are both permitted in the galleries.
